Completing the Sacraments of Initiation.
Thank-you for taking the time to visit our webpage with information on completing your child’s sacraments of initiation.
Our program has three short components or modules to allow children to continue with their extra school activities including sport. The first of these modules will commence with the Sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation. Your child together with an adult family member will be invited to participate in a full day retreat style session with opportunities to reflect with members of our sacrament team on what it means to belong to this community and to celebrate forgiveness and reconciliation. Each of the other two sacraments have a similar day associated with them.
The modules are not difficult and both you and your child will enjoy the experience. Your child must have completed each module before proceeding to the next.
To be eligible for this next stage of your child’s faith journey they must have turned seven prior to the program commencing.
These modules are designed to assist you in completing the process you began with your child or children when you presented them for Baptism.
The Catholic community’s ethos and support is clearly important to your family and important to your decision to raise your child or children within a Christian environment. It is important to us, the Catholic Community of this Parish as well and we are certainly keen to support you in this decision in whatever way we can.
Our Sacrament Program is one way we can do this for you. Our Sacrament program includes now those sacraments which complete the sacrament of Initiation that is Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist.
Please complete the details below and return that part of the form to the Parish Office. This will list your interest in involving your child as part of our next program. We will contact you to invite you to be part of our information evening when dates are arranged.
